Post-12: Semester-2 Task
Why Monica from
Friends is this summer’s unlikely style icon
1. Good evening, everyone! Fashion has a huge influence on people around
the world. I hope my post will be useful to the girls who are interested in
fashion & beauty trends. I’ve read a really good article written by an
associate editor (fashion) at the Guardian, Jess Cartner-Morley. I like to read
about the accessories, colours & different cute things, which are fashionable
in the following season, & then to add them to my look. I also understand
that it’s absolutely senselessly & silly to blindly give in the «morals» of
designers, cause it’s impossible to keep up with fashion. Well, this summer’s
style icon is Monica from Friends (my loveliest character from this TV-series).
"The Monaissance is real," - Jess writes at her article, "at
a Net-a-Porter event discussing trends for summer 2019, Monica was called the
poster girl for 90s normcore and the new season by an ultra-chic senior buyer".
In February, Bella Hadid stepped out in New York wearing a cropped, shoulder-padded,
double-breasted tailored jacket with high-waisted peg-leg trousers.
Fashion often means style, glamour and success. It’s a big business. In my opinion, every person should have his own style
and look unique. There are a lot of things (such as taste, age, character, etc.)
according to which people should choose clothes. The most important thing for
me in the outlook is neatness, natural look and beauty. But it should certainly
suit the occasion.
