China will be the world’s most visited country by 2030
China is a booming country that will be the world's
most visited one by 2030. The supporters maintain that it will have the largest
number of both inbound and out bound travelers, whilst opponents don’t believe
to these statements.
Firstly,
China will have the largest
number of outbound travelers, overtaking even the US and Germany, and
the largest one of inbound tourists coming from within Asia, including
Hong Kong, Taiwan and the surrounding region due to economic growth and
higher incomes in nearby Asian countries. Access to the country is also
improving for Asian visitors, who are able to obtain visas more easily than
before.
However, it will be a
little bit difficult for foreigners from the US and UK to get a Chinese
visa because for them it will be cost much more expensive than for Asian
people. For example, a UK citizen will have to pay £151 for his single-entry
Chinese visa.
Secondly, with tourism becoming increasingly vital
to the Chinese economy, Chinese regional tourist boards have implemented an improved approach. For example, in 2017 the country
launched its “all-for-one” tourism programme which was aimed at preservation,
cultural diversity and ecological sustainability.
Furthermore, there may
be a fall in outbound tourism from the UK as a result of a "no-deal
Brexit". It can result
in several million fewer outbound departures soon.
Notwithstanding, the Brexit might lead to a rise
inbound tourism as the pound falls in value. And it will attract the
attention of a large number of foreign tourists.
All things considered, it can be
concluded that the Chinese economy accelerates at a very high speed ahead of
other countries including not only Asian. Nevertheless, it is still only a prediction
that China will overtake France as the world’s
number one tourist destination by 2030. So, we cannot know for
sure whether it will be the case or not.
